August in the Langdales

August in the Lake District – a good time to enjoy summer weather. Well, Lake District summer weather anyway? Fortunately our new members Debbie and Stephanie knew enough of the Lakes not to be put off by the showers as we climbed up Stickle Ghyll or the bitter August wind on the summit of Pavey Ark.
We were rewarded with wonderful views from the top of Pike of Stickle and at the end a very well deserved drink in the Old Dungeon Ghyll.
