12th-14th February 2027
£TBA
February’s weekend meet will take place in the quiet moorlands of the North York Moors, a beautiful National Park that the club hasn’t visited for a few years. Our accommodation for the weekend will be at the well equipped Bank House Farm Bunkhouse in Glaisdale.
This part of the park is divided by a series of parallel, broad-topped ridges between steep-sided valleys: Glaisdale, Great Fryup Dale and Danby Dale to name a few. Drive a little further west and you reach the highest hills in the area at Urra Moor and Cringle Moor, with the impressive outcrop of the Wain Stones, as well as the small but distinctive conical peak of Roseberry Topping. Head a few miles east and you’re in the pretty coastal town of Whitby, with its famous Abbey, and the Cleveland Way offers dramatic clifftop walks.
The bunkhouse sleeps 10 in a single, large room with helpful curtain partitions. Downstairs is an open plan kitchen / dining / living area, and there’s central heating throughout to keep us cosy.
