Winter walking in the Langdale Valley
With full central heating and very comfortable beds, Brathay Hall proved to be a good base for the weekend.
Saturday saw one group taking a lower level route straight out of the door. Others headed to Langdale for a snowy and rather misty route up Harrison Stickle.
On Sunday the whole group traveled to Langdale again before splitting to do either a medium level route above Chapel Stile or an ascent of Pike O’Blisco, the latter in snow and high winds.
