Capel Curig, Nov 2015

In November we headed to Capel Curig in Snowdonia for a weekend in the Carneddau – but not before climbing Great Orme near Llundudno on the way there.

On the Saturday the weather was glorious with lots of lying snow so some of us headed up Nant y Benglog before climbing Pen yr Helgi Du via Y Braich. From the summit we headed east across the bwlch & up to the summit of Pen Llithrig y Wrach. From there we headed north east down the shoulder to Llyn Cowlyd Reservoir before following the shore south and back to Capel Curig. What a fantastic day.

On the Sunday a combination of very wet weather and some rather thick heads after the Gentian Annual Dinner meant no walking for me.
